Vicariate Traslacion Workshop at Malate Church
Some 85 lay volunteers from the seven parishes of the Nuestra Señora De Guia Vicariate participated in the Traslacion Roadmap Workshop held at the Remedios Jubilee Mission Center in the Malate Church Complex on 11 May 2024.
Supported by their respective parish priests, the participants listened attentively to the RCAM Traslacion Facilitators Team and enthusiastically worked on their assigned specific objectives. The 7-hour workshop was put to good use as shown by the reports delivered by each parish outlining their Strategic Initiatives.
The RCAM Traslacion Roadmap is “the strategic plan that will guide the collective transformation journey In the Archdiocese of Manila for the next five years (2023-2028)”. The Roadmap aims to concretize the goals and responses of the Church, thru the parishes, to the challenges of the time, as it seeks the fulfillment of the RCAM Vision of “a community of missionary disciples committed to living and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ and fulfilling its role as a Church of the Poor.”
Vicar Forane Fr. Joel Rescober, who is also the parish priest of San Vicente de Paul, successfully gathered representatives from parishes under NSDG. He was ably supported by Fr. Jude Genovia (Our Lady of Remedies Parish/Malate Catholic Church), Fr. Rey Balilo (San Agustin Church), Fr. Lito Villareal with Fr. Danichi Hui (Nstra. Sra. De Guia), and Fr. Anthony Acupan (Sto. Nino de Baseco). On the other hand, the 7-member RCAM Traslacion Team was led by Dante Chua and Ellen Dionisio.
